Assessment instruments include N-back and complex-span tasks. The primary intervention is not training the ceiling upward, but engineering environments that never require exceeding it.

Focus & Attention Span
The duration of uninterrupted single-object cognition before drift.
Attention span is measured as the interval between deliberate task onset and the first involuntary switch. Modern baselines have collapsed under industrial exposure to interfaces engineered against them. Recovery is possible and repeatable: seventy-two hours of enforced single-tasking typically restores 20–40 minute blocks. The institution treats this as the master metric.

Executive Function Friction
The measurable cost of planning, inhibition, and cognitive switching.
Executive function is the family of processes that select which of many possible actions is executed now. Friction is quantified as the latency and error-rate cost of switching between rules. High friction is the signature of decision fatigue. It is reduced not by willpower but by pre-commitment, defaults, and radical simplification of the choice menu.

Visuospatial Recognition
The system that maps, orients, and retrieves position in space.
Visuospatial recognition is measured through mental-rotation, pattern-completion, and spatial-recall tasks. It is a strong correlate of navigation ability, geometric reasoning, and — under recent evidence — long-term episodic retention. Its decline is a leading indicator of neurological load and one of the earliest signs of chronic sleep debt.
Metric 06
Motor Coordination
The precision and stability of intentional movement.
Motor coordination sits at the base of the cognitive stack. Fine-motor precision, postural stability, and bimanual timing degrade under the same conditions that degrade thought, and often earlier. The institution treats deliberate physical practice as cognitive maintenance, not adjacent to it.
